Havens hosts annual safety meeting

When it comes to safety, many companies talk a pretty good game. But at Havens, safety is a way of life. It’s our passion. After all, our people are our most valuable asset. We do everything we can to keep our people safe.

That’s why the Havens Construction team – yes, our entire team – comes together each year for safety training. We talk about best practices and new safety measures. And we host a safety consultant for an expert take on what we’re doing, how we can improve, and what’s on the horizon.

It sounds pretty serious, but we worked to make a day of learning fun. We had several giveaways, and Havens team members won prizes including a Yeti cooler, iPads, and tickets to the Chiefs and Royals.

Our thanks go out to our speaker David Miguel with Underground Safety and Supply and to our many sponsors. While on-the-job safety training is effective, our annual, day-long safety meeting helps us keep our focus. These efforts helped us win a 2014 Loss Free Award from Midwest Builders Casualty Group. But most importantly, they help keep our team safe.

Havens preps infrastructure for new neighborhood in Liberty, Missouri

Our hometown of Liberty, Missouri, is a gem. On the outskirts of the Kansas City metro area, Liberty is known for its wonderful schools and a great quality of life. At Havens, we’re proud to call this vibrant community home. But new homes in Liberty can be hard to come by.

That’s changing, thanks to a new development. Homestead of Liberty is a residential neighborhood that covers almost 200 acres. The new development is preserving the trees around the site and will have substantial green space. It’s going to be beautiful. But like any neighborhood, the right infrastructure is key. That’s where Havens comes in.

We’re thrilled to be contributing to the growth of our hometown. By installing sanitary, storm, and water, Havens Construction is getting this new neighborhood off on the right foot.

Homestead of Liberty is unique – it’s one of the first new developments within the Liberty city limits in about 10 years. The community is excited, and Havens is proud to play a part in the ongoing growth of the town we love so much.

A new look for Havens Construction

If you’ve been by our office recently, you might have noticed something different. Our signage is new, and, come to think of it, our shirts and equipment have new markings, too.

Havens Construction is pleased to unveil our new logo. We’re excited to have this new mark on all of our materials, equipment, and, well, people!

“It was time for a fresh look,” says Eric Havens, President and COO of Havens Construction. “We wanted to capture the strength of our history and our services.”

But the refresh is more than just a new logo. “This mark reinforces Havens’ continued commitment to our customers, our employees, and our industry,” says Eric. “It’s a nod to our expanding role in the markets we serve, but it also acknowledges our history as the go-to firm for underground infrastructure.”

Havens Construction is looking forward to a bright future. Our new rebrand will help us communicate our service and commitment now and for years to come.
