Havens Construction announces the acquisition of Dependable Maintenance Systems of Clinton, Iowa.
The acquisition will serve as a new, wholly owned subsidiary of Havens Construction to offer additional services, specifically in manhole rehabilitation. This includes trenchless renewal systems such as structural cementitious liners, waterproofing and protective coatings.
“By holding a strong commitment to trenchless technologies, we’re able to offer value-engineered solutions to municipal clients who need them,” explains Eric Havens, President. “Being able to provide less-invasive trenchless repairs and rehabilitation is a long-term investment we’re confident will pay off and further strengthen our company.”
With this acquisition comes certified applicators for both PPG Raven lining systems and APM. Raven is a leading supplier of engineered solutions for the protection and renewal of infrastructure within multiple markets; its systems are installed by the most experienced and best-supported applicators in the industry. APM offers leading rehabilitation systems and resourceful solutions to make it easier to replace manhole concrete pipes without having to excavate and negatively affect the structural integrity of any area.
“The acquisition of Dependable Maintenance Systems allows us to broaden our coverage and reach into new marketplaces,” says Justin Bolsenga, Vice President. “Offering epoxy services in addition to APM products puts us in a unique position to provide comprehensive solutions for manhole rehab.”
This acquisition is part of larger plans on the horizon, Havens said, keeping consistent with the company’s vision of being the leading provider of best-in-class trenchless solutions. Bringing Dependable Maintenance Systems underneath the Havens umbrella allows the company to be more mobile and expands their offerings throughout the Midwest.
Founded in 1968, Havens Construction is committed to building and repairing water and wastewater infrastructure across the Midwest for municipalities, developers and general contractors. From the latest trenchless technology for aging infrastructure to open-cut construction of new sanitary sewer, storm sewer and water lines, the Havens crew is there to dig deep and get the job done the “Havens way.”
