The Havens team welcomes Jordan Bradley, a new foreman on the Havens new-construction / open-cut crew. With more than a decade of experience in heavy civil infrastructure across the Midwest, Jordan has been running work for the past eight years and started at Havens in 2025.

An avid hunter and fisherman – as well as the father of three young children – Jordan said the work-life balance at Havens and the priority the company places on family was a top reason he was attracted to his new role.

“They have gone above and beyond whenever it comes to family, no doubt about it,” he said. “They get it that I have three kids. … Havens is always OK with me taking care of the kids first and understanding that’s more important than the job. Of course, it’s very important to be at work, but you have to take care of your family first.”

Jordan’s experience covers everything from commercial and residential subdivisions to warehouses, apartment complexes and more. And as a foreman, he said his leadership style has evolved over the years into one based on trust and accountability.

“At the beginning of my career, I was a bird-dogging guy. I was always over your shoulder making sure that everything was 100%,” he said. “But as the years have gone by, I’ve gotten a little bit more relaxed, and I’ve understood you have to trust your guys to do their job. … I definitely teach everything they need to know, but I try to let them take responsibility as well. Everybody out here is a professional, and I try to treat everybody as that.”

Now with almost a year under his belt at Havens, he said he’s enthusiastic about the future he sees at the company:

“The growth that’s getting ready to happen — you can see it happening as we’re working, and it’s very exciting to see the direction we’re going,” he said. “The way Havens conducts work is like a breath of fresh air.”
